Literature Text

The silver moon shone in the black sky
And the golden stars dusted the night
I sat there, humming a lullaby
As the field was pearled with flies so bright

Small steps were heard on the grass
A young child chasing the little lights
The boy's eyes shining of mirth and brass
As he turned to me, a smile so bright

Why are you so dreary looking
On this beautiful evening?
The child asked as he sat near me
His frail and starkingly pale body
Against an old tree of ebony

Nay my child, I am lost in dreams
Would you join me in these vast realms?
I smiled, staring at the scenery
Contemplate, imagine, be free
Your mind is your sanctuary

I only see my family
They are cold and lonely
Thus is what the little boy said
The blurry horizon in his gaze
Dark innocence, from which darkness bled

The alloying sound of silence then reigned
The wind sweeping through the voids of time
Leaves rustled, nocturnal blooms chanted
Celestial rubies sung in rhymes

And the ink heavens faded to gold
The first sunrays above the clouds peeking
Grinning, the little boy stood up and told
Do you hear the ravens calling?
For i must return to my tomb.
A poem i wrote :)
